“The process began with a request for a quote under the Mass Save rebate program. Mike came to the house and did a thorough evaluation of our current heating and cooling system. I had already gotten three quotes from other HVAC companies, and Mike was the most detailed estimator. We received a quote with three options, and I selected the Bryant system with the highest efficiency for both heating and cooling.
Precision Home Services were able to schedule me in a timely manner. Precision also kept me well informed on what to expect. They do as much document submittals to Mass Save as they can, and provided information on what I had to do, including how to obtain the loan.
Cody was crew chief for a team of installers. They removed my old gas furnace and air conditioner and installed a high-efficiency Bryant heat pump and gas furnace. The process took two days. Day 1 included the removal of the old furnace and AC followed immediately by the installation of the new gas furnace, so that our house did not lose heating in December. Day 1 also included prep work for the outside AC compressor unit so that it was set on its new raised pad, connected, pressure tested, and configured on Day 2.
Additional details for the installation included some electrical work, included in the quote.
Too many details to include in this review, but I will mention that the crew took great care to maintain cleanliness, the new unit has clearly labeled intake and exhaust piping (which replaced the existing PVC piping that does not meet codes), the condensate pump for the furnace has a neutralizing system for the acidic condensate liquid that the furnace produces, and the new smart thermostat is totally programmable and connected to the wireless network for management of the furnace/heat pump system.
